Analysis of Fatty Acids From Crude Palm Oil (CPO) by Gas Chromatography at medan palm oil research center has been studied out. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of fatty acids contained in the sampel can be saturated fatty acids and unsaturated fatty acids. Where the sample of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) are transesterified to produce a mixture of fatty acids which will be analyzed using Gas Chromatography. Product analysis results contain saturated fatty acids in the form of palmitic acid (C16) for code A, B and C 45.0492% , 44.0731% and 46.5457%. unsaturated fatty acids in the form of oleic acid (C18 F1) 39.9130%, 40.8889% and 38.8387% and linoleic acid (C18 F2) 9.7448%, 9.6742% and 9.9048%. The levels of the results of the analysis of fatty acids have met the standards Of MPOB P3.5:2004en_US
