Lipase is an acyl hydrolase that is well soluble in water. Lipase is an enzyme that has an important role in modern biotechnology. Lipase is known to have high activity in hydrolysis, esterification, alcoholism, acidolysis and aminolysis reactions. Lipase can be produced by various types of microbes, such as Aspergillus niger, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia Marcescens, Staphylocococcus aureus and Bacillus. The uses of the lipase enzyme include raw materials for making detergents, making polymers and emulsifiers in the pharmaceutical industry. The need for enzymes increases every year until in 2019, Indonesia imported 6,677 tonnes of enzymes with a purchase price of US$ 45,250,832. This indicates that the need for enzymes in Indonesia is in line with the amount of imports each year. This can be an opportunity to utilize rice bran waste as an alternative for making lipase enzymes in East Java. Not only that, it is hoped that Indonesia can become one of the world's enzyme producers and exporters. The factory for producing lipase enzymes by Aspergillus niger uses the SSF method and rice bran solid media with a capacity of 500 tons/year with a special engineering design task for an extractor with 330 working days a year. The results of the economic analysis of the Lipase Enzyme Factory from Aspergillus niger are as follows: • Total Investment Capital = IDR 734,945,433,887.32 • Total Production Costs = IDR 312,943,282,191.17 • Sales Proceeds = IDR 1,824,999,620,400.00 • Net Profit = IDR 1,155,815,864,926.83 • Profit Margin = 81.20 % • Break Even Point = 16.97 % • Return on Investment = 155.40 % • Pay OutTime = 0.64 years • Return on Network = 262.11 % • Internal Rate of Return = 46.59 % Based on the results of the analysis of economic aspects, it can be concluded that the "Lipase Enzyme Factory from Aspergillus niger" is feasible to be established.en_US
