dc.description.abstract | Knowledge of osteoporosis in women of childbearing age is very necessary because women are more at risk of experiencing osteoporosis than men. Good knowledge of osteoporosis accompanied by a good attitude will result in good preventive measures. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes about preventing osteoporosis in women of childbearing age and diet in Rawang Village, Pasar V Asahan. Analytical descriptive research method with cross sectional design. The research sample of women aged 15-49 years was 51 people. Data were analyzed in univariate and bivariate form using the chi square statistical test. The level of knowledge was mostly in the good category (64.7%), as were attitudes (66.7%), eating patterns in the good category (54.9%). The relationship between knowledge about preventing osteoporosis and diet has a value of p = 1.0, which means that knowledge is not related to preventing osteoporosis with diet, while the relationship between attitudes about preventing osteoporosis and diet has a value of p = 0.049, which means that attitude is related to preventing osteoporosis. with diet.
