dc.description.abstractThe mortality rate of occupational accidents and diseases is quite high. The International Labor Organization (2018) shows that every year about 380,000 workers or 13.7% of the 2.78 million workers die from accidents or occupational diseases, and more than 374 million people are injured, injured or sick every year due to accidents that occur and in the status of laboratory occupational safety and health in Kajiado County, Kenya concluded that chemical hazards were most common and laboratory equipment was placed dangerously as much as (49.5%). This research was conducted at PT Anugerah Pupuk Lestari Tanjung Morawa on Jalan Sei Blumai No.27, Dusun I, Kel. Dalu Sepuluh-A, Tanjung Morawa District is an agricultural fertilizer procurement company. The purpose is to analyze the identification of problems and unsafe conditions, determine the accident model, analyze an accident, planning and implementing the K3 program. This research uses a type of qualitative research with a case study approach with 4 informants taken using purposive sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by interviewing and reviewing documents. The results of this study indicate that the laboratory of PT Anugerah Pupuk Lestari has complied with most of the identified problems and unsafe conditions. Using the HAZOP (hazards and operability study) method. Using the IBPR (Hazard Identification and Risk Control) method and using MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet). The company does not use the principles of accident prevention. Implementing the implementation of the OHS program, namely socializing hazard identification and risk control, implementing MCU (Medical Check Up) on schedule, installing & inspecting OHS signage in the laboratory room, inspecting the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and archiving all documents, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), laboratory Work Instructions, conducting P2K3 meetings every month with the person in charge of company OHS, completing the availability of first aid equipment in the laboratory. Suggestions for agencies are to conduct socialization from the company to laboratory staff to check body conditions, conduct further training on the HAZOP method, apply the principles of accident prevention in accordance with the K3 program, carry out training and socialization of hazardous and toxic waste processing.en_US
