Gambaran Kondisi Fisik Kendaraan dan Perilaku Tidak Aman dalam Berkendara pada Pengemudi Ojek Online di Kota Medan Tahun 2023

Abstract

Along with technological developments, the internet changes people's patterns and behavior. Currently motorcycle taxi drivers have launched an online ordering application for this mode of transportation. The aim of this research is to analyze the description of the physical condition of vehicles among online motorcycle taxi drivers and the description of unsafe behavior among online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City in 2023. This research uses a quantitative descriptive type of research. The population of this study is 2300 online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City in 2023. The sample is 96 online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City in 2023. Data collection uses a questionnaire, this method is carried out by giving a written list of questions to respondents with the scale used here is Likert scale type. Based on the research results, the data obtained is that the description of unsafe behavior among online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City in 2023 is that drivers very often do not wear gloves when driving and drivers sometimes run red lights, go against the road when driving, drive beyond the speed limit. normal, not wearing a jacket when riding, wearing shoes when riding and talking to other riders while riding a motorbike without stopping first. Meanwhile, the description of the physical condition of the vehicles for online motorcycle taxi drivers in Medan City in 2023 is that motorcycle taxi drivers never properly install the rear view mirrors on their motorbikes and the motorbikes sometimes stop because the oil has not been replaced or has run out and the gas cable is not working properly and remains on. When driving, sometimes the main light goes out and the motorbike horn doesn't work. Online motorcycle taxi drivers should continue to increase awareness of safe behavior in order to meet passengers/users' needs for online transportation that is safe and comfortable and in accordance with passengers' expectations/desires.
