This study aims to study and determine the effect of applying ameliorants and also biological fertilizers on growth, soil P nutrients and nutrient uptake in plants. This research was conducted in a greenhouse, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra using peat soil from Village. Rakyat. SudistrictTeluk Panji, District.South Labuhanbatu, Volcanic Ash from Village. Beras Tepu, Subdistrict. Simpang Empat, District. Karo, Zeolite from PT. Zeolite Natura Tangguh, Mycorrhiza and Phosphate Solvent Bacteria Collection from the Biology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. This study used a 2-factor Randomized group design (shelves). The first factor is Bio Fertilizers: Control, Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria, Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Combination of Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi. Second Factor Amelioran : Control, Volcanic Ash, Zeolite and Combination of Volcanic Ash with Zeolite : with 3 replications. Ameliorant treatment in this study affects the growth of oil palm seedlings, an increase in soil pH value, an increase in soil available P value, an increase in the number of microbial populations, an increase in nutrient levels and nutrient uptake in oil palm seedlings compared to the control, the best treatment is volcanic ash than the provision of zeolite and a combination of volcanic ash and zeolite, phosphate solubilizing microbes affect the growth of oil palm seedlings, an increase in soil pH value, an increase in soil available P value, Increased microbial population, increased nutrient levels and nutrient uptake in oil palm seedlings compared to the control with the best treatment in phosphate solubilizing microbes FMA (Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula), than the provision of BPF (Phosphate Solubilizing Bacteria) and the combination of BPF and FMA, but the interaction of the two factors has a higher value than the provision of each factor, namely the best treatment of volcanic ash combined with FMA (Fungi Mikoriza Arbuskula). Based on the results of this study, the use of ameliorants and phosphate solubilizing microbes is recommended for marginal soils, especially peat soils in oil palm nurseries.en_US
