Pengalaman Caregiver Merawat Pasien dengan Penyakit Gagal Ginjal Kronis Literature Review

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is a condition when the fimction of kidney gradually decreases or can even disappear completely. ft can cause the accumulation of fluid and the remaining metabolism. If it is not immediately handled, ii can develop into the last stage of kidney failure which needs kidney substitute such as dialysis or kidney transplantation. For the pariems, the presence of a caregiver can become the main support. He will provide care and support for patients suffered fi·om diseases. He not only acts as a caregirer or a professional health care provider but is also be able to act as a parent or a family member who will take care of a patient being treated. As a caregiver, a person can undergo stress since it is not easy to take care of patients. He needs Jmowledge. willingness, dedication, and patience. ll is stress can make him fatigued and bored. This research employs literawre revie11·; the data are gathered by using Database Google Scholar and PubMed in the period of 2018 -2023. There are IO journals obtained from the selection of assessment and keywords (national ad internatio11Lll). The result oj the research shows thC1f the burden 11nd er go11c by a ca regiv er included physical, emotional. and social one. Ir is concluded that taking care of patients who need1· intensiv e care is very challenging. Therefore, it is necessaJJ' to hm·e social support and full atlention fi·om the health tea,m especially from caregirers. It is recommended that they take care of themselves.
