Gambaran Pengetahuan Remaja Putri tentang Nyeri Haid (Dismenorea) Di Perkumpulan Remaja Putri Dusun VII Desa Tanjung Alam, Kecamatan Sei Dadap, Kabupaten Asahan

Abstract

Advlesce11ce is the period which is full of changes, physically. psychologically, and emulionally. A girl who becomes an adult is identified by menstruation. 011e of menstrualion disorders is dys111enorrhea which may lead to serious effects such as disturbing daily aclivilies. The objective of the research is to find out the description of female /eenagers' knowledge of dysmenorrhea in the female teenager club at D11s1m VII, Tanjung Alam Village, and those who undergo dysmenorrhea. The samples consist of 30 respondents, selected by using 11011-probability sampling or accide11tal sampling technique. The research instrument is q11estio1111aires. The result of the research shows that five respondents (16.7%) have good knowledge. 11 respondents (36.7%) have 111oderate knowledg,eand I4 respondents (46.7%) lun-e poor knowledge. It is also found that must of the members of this club have poor knowledge of dysmenorrhea since they consider that the pain during menstruation is common so that they ignore it; therefore, they are not interested in finding out dysmenorrhea. It is recommended that the local health care providers care about the health examination for female teenagers' reproduction.
