Kecemasan dan Efikasi diri Selama Menghadapi Ujian Skill Lab Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The implementation of the Skill Lab exam causes the students to feel anxious and affects student self-efficacy during exams. This exam is carried out to assess the level of ability of students in performing nursing actions. The study uses a descriptive method. The sampling technique employs Simple Random Sampling. The research subjects are 76 students with the criteria of 4th-semester students who have taken the Skill Lab exam. The research instrument consists of demographic questionnaires, namely the Zung Self-rating Anxiety Scale (ZSAS) and General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSES) questionnaires. The data are presented in the form of distribution and frequency. The results show that the anxiety of students at the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara during the Skill Lab exam is in a low category, that is 48 students (63.2%), and 40 students (52.6%) are in the high category of Self Efficacy. From the data above, it can be concluded that students of the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Sumatera Utara have a low level of anxiety and a high level of self-efficacy. Students need to increase self-efficacy by motivating themselves to study and increasing interest in Skill Lab exams to reduce anxiety levels.
