Tingkat Pengetahuan dan Penulisan Resep pada Mahasiswa Profesi Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Sumatera Utara
Abstract
Prescriptions are the final form of a doctor's competence in applying their knowledge and abilities in the field of pharmacology. The SKDGI explains that one of the basic skills that a dentist must have is to prescribe medicines correctly. Errors in writing prescriptions can result in medication errors. As a prospective dentist, a professional dental student must have good knowledge about writing prescriptions and must be able to write prescriptions correctly. The aim of this research was to determine the level of knowledge and prescription writing among professional students at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of North Sumatra. This research method is descriptive by providing 1 questionnaire sheet to determine the level of knowledge and 2 prescription sheets to determine the completeness in writing recipes. The respondents in this study were 263 professional students from the Faculty of Dentistry, University of North Sumatra. Based on the research results, it was found that in general the level of prescription knowledge among professional students at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of North Sumatra was classified as good, namely 92.8% (244 people). As for writing recipes for professional students, there are still many errors in the writing. Of the total 263 prescriptions, only 21.7% (57 prescriptions) for adult patients were written completely. Meanwhile, only 9.9% (26 prescriptions) of pediatric patients' prescriptions were written in full.
