The purpose of this study was to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the development of mangrove forest ecotourism in Langsa City. This research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative descriptive research using Likert scale calculation analysis. From the research results it is known that internal factors or IFAS (strengths and weaknesses) indicate a strong internal position in mangrove forest ecotourism. External factors or EFAS (opportunities and threats) indicate external positions that have great opportunities in mangrove forest ecotourism in the Kuala Langsa area. From the variable strength it can be concluded that the greatest influence lies in its benefits as a form of sustainable mangrove ecosystem preservation, namely in supporting mangrove conservation in order to maintain the wealth of natural ecosystems and a sustainable balance. Another strength is the full support from the city government, as well as the existence of promotional activities carried out by related agencies. Weaknesses in mangrove ecotourism can be concluded from the lack of supporting facilities for tourism activities, poor hygiene, and lack of supervision from the manager are some of the inhibiting factors for the development of mangrove ecotourism in Kuala Langsa. In the opportunity variable that exists in mangrove ecotourism, there are new and different tourist destinations. The threat to this variable lies in inadequate road infrastructure that makes it difficult for tourists to visit and high business competition, especially in the tourism sector, given the many tourist destinations offered by the Langsa city government.
