Pengaruh Kebisingan terhadap Tekanan darah Pada Pekerja Industri Penggergajian Kayu di UD Lestari Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The use of machines in the sawmill industry can help the production process, besides being able to increase production capacity it can also have a negative impact. Negative impacts that can arise include sound or sounds that can cause noise in the work environment. The purpose of this study was to analyze the intensity of bandsaw machine noise in workers, to analyze blood pressure in workers and to analyze the effect of noise, ear protection, and working hours/day on blood pressure in workers at UD Lestari. Measurements were made on the band saw when operating using a sound level meter to determine noise intensity, and blood pressure measurements were carried out before and after work using a digital sphygmomanometer. Tests were carried out using the Fisher Exact Test and Paired sample t-Test to determine the average difference in blood pressure before and after work. The results showed that the noise intensity of the bandsaw machine was 100.3 dB. For blood pressure, workers at UD Lestari have an average systolic blood pressure before work of 118.7 mmHg and systolic after work of 123.4 mmHg. Diastolic blood pressure before work is 75.9 mmHg and after work the diastolic is 81.01 mmHg. Bandsaw machine noise and the use of ear protection devices have a significant effect on blood pressure in workers at UD Lestari. Working hours/days have no significant effect on workers at UD Lestari.
