Kepatuhan Minum Obat pada Lansia yang Mengalami Peningkatan Tekanan Darah di Posbindu Desa Tegal Sari Mandala II

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where systolic blood pressure is > 140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg. Medication adherence is an attitude of taking medication according to the recommended schedule and dosage. This study aims to identify the medication adherence in the elderly who experienced increased blood pressure at Posbindu (Integrated Development Post) Tegal Sari Mandala II Village. The research is carried out in June 2023 with a sample of 30 respondents. This is a quantitative-descriptive-research with a cross-sectional approach. The results of this study show that based on gender, female is the most dominant gender of respondents with a total number of 21 respondents (70%). Based on age, the age of 59-64 is the most dominant age with a total of 12 respondents (40%), followed by the age of 65-70 with 12 respondents (40%). Based on the level of medication adherence, there are 20 respondents (66.7%) with low adherence, 6 respondents (20%) with moderate adherence, and 4 respondents (13.3%) with high adherence. Based on the research that has been accomplished, it can be concluded that the level of medication adherence in the elderly in Tegal Sari Mandala II Village is categorized as low.
