ntestinal worm disease is an infectious disease that continues to be a problem worldwide, especially in developing countries, typically in tropical and subtropical regions, including Indonesia. Poor personal hygiene behavior in children contributes to the spread of this disease. This study aims to determine the risk factors that increase intestinal worm disease in elementary school children at SDN 01 Pematang Jering, Batubara Regency. A descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach is employed. The samples are taken by random sampling method with a sample of 52 students. The data are collected by a questionnaire. The results show that 42 students (78.8%) are not at risk of worms, and 11 students (21.2%) are at risk of worms. To monitor student personal hygiene at school, especially in terms of intestinal worm disease, the school is expected to always collaborate with the Public Health Centre (Puskesmas) for counseling and acquiring other health information.
