Identifikasi Kejadian Bullying Verbal pada Remaja di Smp Negeri 1 Lumban Julu, Kecamatan Lumban Julu, Kabupaten Toba

Abstract

Adolescents are vulnerable to incidents of physical and verbal violence as they experience changes in terms of physical, psychological, social, and emotional. Verbal bullying has a negative impact either on the victims, the perpetrators, or the witnesses of such incidents. This study aims to determine the level of verbal bullying incidents in adolescents. This study uses a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The students of SMP Negeri 1 Lumban Julu are the samples of this study with a total of 10% of the population, namely 54 out of 542 people and they are taken using the Stratified Sampling technique. The results of this study find that verbal bullying incidents at SMP Negeri 1 Lumban Julu is in a low category with a frequency of 39 students (72.2%). It is suggested for parents and teachers pay attention to the condition of a child's mental development at home, at school, and in their social environment.
