Pengaruh Pendidikan Kesehatan Melalui Video Animasi dan Storytelling terhadap Pengetahuan Tentang Kesiapsiagaan Bencana Banjir pada Siswa-Siswi SDN 163091 Kelurahan Sri Padang Tebing Tinggi
Abstract
Health education regarding disaster management needs to be given to children because they are very vulnerable to experiencing negative impacts before, during, and after a disaster occurs. The provision of health education must be done in an interesting way so that children can easily understand the topics discussed, for example with animated video media and storytelling. This is a quantitative study with a one-group pre-test post-test research design that aims to identify the effect of implementing health education through animated videos and storytelling on knowledge about flood disaster preparedness. The univariate analysis used the frequency distribution and the bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The sample in this study is the students of SDN 163091, Sri Padang Village, Tebing Tinggi, with a total of 38 students. The results show that the average knowledge of students' preparedness before treatment is good (52.6%). After conducting health education through animated videos and storytelling, the number of students who have good knowledge increases (71.1%). In the Wilcoxon test, a p-value of 0.002 is obtained. It can be concluded that the provision of health education through animated videos and storytelling has an effect on students' knowledge of flood disaster preparedness. Provision of health education through animated videos and storytelling should be redeveloped to achieve a better understanding of knowledge about flood disaster preparedness.
