Hubungan Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu terhadap Keberhasilan Toilet Training pada Anak Usia Toddler Literature Riview
Abstract
One of the problems that frequently occur is that young children still wear diapers because they still wet their bed although they are supposed to be in independence stage. Success in toilet training depends on their readiness and the readiness of their families. Therefore, it is closely correlated between success in toilet training and women's knowledge. Their lack of knowledge can influence the failure in toilet training. The objective of this research is to identify women's level of knowledge toward the success in toilet training in toddlers. The research employs a literature review approach. The data are gathered by using Google Scholar database published in the last ten years, using keywords, Women's Knowledge, "Toilet Training, Toddlers." The result of the 15 articles analyzed show that their level of knowledge is in the good category (80%) and in the poor category (20%). Women's knowledge is closely related to the success in toilet training in toddlers. The main factor is their bad education so their lack of understanding and information about the importance of implementing toilet training in every development and independency in toddlers. It is recommended that health care providers provide counseling about toilet training, especially for women who have toddlers.
