Indonesia as multicultural country consists of various cultures one of which is dance art. The dance has a positive effect on pregnant women, particularly during the childbirth. Indonesia as a country which still closely maintains tradition, preserves many traditional dances as culture. The research aims to find out the multiculturalism of cultural dances in Indonesia in pregnant women before childbirth and how this multiculturalism affects. The research employs Literature Review design through PRISMA approach. Data are collected using Google Scholar database. Then, the selection is conducted by inputting keywords based on the research discussion and inclusion and exclusion criteria. 10 eligible articles are obtained. Based on these 10 articles, it shows that there is a multiculturalism of cultural dances in various areas in Indonesia for pregnant women before childbirth. The cultural dances found in each island in Indonesia including Sumatera, Java, Kalimantan, Bali, and Sulawesi, affect the pregnant women before childbirth, such as decreasing blood pressure, increasing oxygen in the muscle, becoming a treatment for certain disease, combating evil spirit, reducing pain, and anxiety. It is recommended that this cultural heritage can also be used as an alternative for complementary therapy for society now and in the future.
