Hubungan Perilaku Responsif Perawat Pelaksana dengan Kepuasan Pasien di Ruang Rawat Inap Rumah Sakit Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Nurses' responsive behavior can give great influence on determining service quality, especially in patients' level of satisfaction. It can give nurses' willingness to provide quick, responsive, and accurate service by giving clear information to patients while patient satisfaction is perception on service quality which has been given according to patients' expectation and willingness. The objective of the research is to find out the correlation between nurse practitioners' responsive behavior and patient satisfaction. The research employs descriptive quantitative correlation approach. The population consists of 300 patients in the Inpatient wards of USU Hospital, and 37 of them serve as the samples, taken by using Slovin formula and purposive sampling or accidental sampling technique. The result of Chi Square test shows that p-value=0.016 < a = 0.05 so that He is rejected and Hi is accepted which indicates that there is the correlation between nurse practitioners' responsive behavior and patient satisfaction in the inpatient wards of USU Hospital. This research is written for education and nursing care so that health care providers are able to provide guideline or reference of new learning for being applied in nursing care.
