| dc.description.abstract | One of the strategies for increasing public health standard is by implementing PHBS (Clean and Healthy Life Behavior). One of the factors which influence the implementation of PHBS in a family is social-economicic status. Based on the result of the survey on household PHBS, it is found that a family with high socio-economic status applies PHBS more than a family with lower socio-economic status. The objective of the research is to find out the correlation between socio-economy and implementing PHBS in a family in the working area of Kebun Lada Puskesmas, Binjai. The research employs analytic survey method with cross sectional design. The samples are 71 families, living in the research location, taken by using simple random sampling technique. The data are analyzed by using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with chi-square test at a = 0.05. The result of the univariate analysis shows that 45 families (63.4%) do not implement PHBS. The result of bivariate analysis shows that there is significant correlation between social- economic status and PHBS implementation (p=00009). It is recommended that the Health Agency of Binjai, especially the Puskesmas management, increase PHBS in families by giving them information about it. | en_US |
