The condition when the Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is less than 60 ml/minute per 1.73 m² for 3 months or more is a sign of a chronic kidney disease (PGK), a kidney damage condition. Hemodialysis is a lifetime treatment, so the therapy adherence is required. Patients' non-adherence of therapy can cause the accumulation of dangerous substances that can disrupt the quality of patient life. This research employs systematic literature review method that aims to analyze the correlation between hemodialysis therapy adherence and life quality of patients with chronic kidney disease through literature review. Data are collected from the research database of Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and Garuda from 2019 to 2023. Then, data obtained are selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria using PICOS and PRISMA flow diagram. The result indicates that of 10 journals analyzed there is correlation between hemodialysis therapy adherence and life quality of patients with chronic kidney disease. A high level of adherence of patients with chronic kidney disease is caused by their awareness to see a doctor and undergo treatment. This scientific research is expected to be used as reference to increase knowledge about hemodialysis therapy adherence and life quality of patients with chronic kidney disease.
