Pengaruh Konsentrasi dan Lama Perendaman Larutan Tepung Testis Sapi Brahman (Bos indicus) terhadap Pembentukan Kelamin Jantan pada Larva Ikan Gurami (Osphronemus gouramy)
Abstract
Gouramy is a native fish to Indonesian waters. Gouramy is one of the important commodities seen from its high market demand and relatively easy maintenance, but this fish has slow growth, male gouramy grows faster than female gouramy, so it is necessary to produce high male gouramy. The aim of this study was to produce male monosex gouramy. This research was conducted in March - May 2023. The method used was carried out by Factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two treatment factors, namely concentration and soaking time. The concentration factor has 3 levels, namely D1 (50 ppm), D2 (60 ppm) and D3 (70 ppm) and the immersion time factor has 3 levels, namely T1 (12 hours), T2 (18 hours) and T3 (24 hours). This research was conducted for 60 days of rearing to determine the percentage of male and female fish, increase in weight, length gain, feed conversion ratio (FCR), survival rate and water quality. The results showed that soaking bovine testicle flour with different concentrations and soaking time on gouramy sex formation showed a significantly different effect (P≤0.05) with the best treatment on D2T2 (50 ppm concentration and 18 hours of immersion), very significant effect (P≤0.01) on increasing fish weight, very significant effect (P≤0.01) on length gain, very significant effect (P≤0.01) on feed conversion ratio (FCR) ) and survival was good.
