| dc.description.abstract | There are 4,383 cases of hypertension in Tebing Tinggi City in the year of 2018. Through the activity of KKN (Community Service Program) of the Health Post, the phenomenon of hypertension sufferers is found high in the community of Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict. Characteristics of patients with hypertension are their typical, habits or characteristics that distinguish one patient from another hypertension patient. This study explores the characteristics of hypertension sufferers who live in Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict. This study aims to determine the characteristics of patients with hypertension in Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict. The research uses a qualitative design and a descriptive phenomenology approach. The sample in this study is 15 respondents living in Tebing Tinggi Subdistrict who have met the criteria. The analysis is carried out using three-step qualitative data analysis methods, namely: reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study shows the results that the majority have the characteristics with the age group of 56-66 years old is 6 people (40%), 11 women (73%), 9 housewives (60%), and those that are not related to history hypertension is 8 people (53.3%). The study concludes that the age of patients with hypertension is in the age group of 56-66 years (late elderly), there are more women with hypertension than men. There are more housewives who suffer from hypertension than men. Socioeconomic conditions are found more with an unhealthy lifestyle, and most patients with hypertension are irrelevant with family history. | en_US |
