Hubungan Pola Makan Dengan Kejadian Obesitas pada Anak Usia Sekolah di Indonesia
Abstract
Food consumption patterns that occur due to an imbalance between energy intake and energy use can cause obesity. The research aims to determine the correlation between eating patterns and obesity incidence in school age children. This literature study is conducted using Google Scholar database in the last 10 years and by conducting a comprehensive review using the PRISMA guidelines. The keywords are "School Age Children" AND "Eating Patterns" AND "Obesity". 10 articles are used in this literature review. The research results indicate that based on 10 articles obtained, there is a correlation between eating pattern and obesity incidence in school age children in Indonesia. Eating patterns that can cause obesity in school age children are the habit of not having breakfast, eating junk food, and the excess intakes of protein and omega 6 fatty acids, fast food, sugar, soft drinks, irregular eating, and drinking patterns, eating foods containing Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), as well as a lack consumption of fruit and vegetable. There is a correlation between eating pattern and obesity incidence in school age children in Indonesia.
