Hypertension is a condition in which the systolic and diastolic blood pressure increase to more than 140 mmHg and more than 90 mmHg, respectively. Hypertension is a chronic disease which have a high prevalence, especially in the people with productive age since it is influenced by lifestyle and busyness that cause them to pay less attention to health. The research aims to determine the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in productive age. This quantitative research employs an analytical research design with a cross- sectional design. The results indicate that of 50 respondents, 29 respondents (58.0%) suffer from hypertension and only 21 respondents (42.0%) do not have hypertension. It proves that there is a correlation of gender (p-value=0.000), heredity (p-value=0.013), and smoking (p-value =0.000) with the incidence of hypertension. It is expected that the people with productive age avoid the risk factors of hypertension by having a healthy lifestyle to reduce the incidence of hypertension.en_US
