Studying nutritional status in female adolescents is crucial as at this age the tendency for nutritional disoriërs to occur is extremely high, resulting in the risk of menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is a pain that occurs during menstruation followed by pain and cramps in the lower abdomen or hips. The pain that occurs can interfere with daily activities, forcing female adolescents to rest. One of the causal factors often associated with menstrual pain is the body mass index. The objective of this study is to determine the correlation between body mass index (BMI) and menstrual pain (Dysmenorrhea) in female adolescents at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTSS) Miftahul Falah Diski. The design of this study is descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional approach. The populations are female adolescents who have menstrual pain. The sample of this study uses Total Sampling by having all female adolescents, with a total of 75 adolescents, who have menstrual pain. This study employs Spearman correlation test analysis. The results of the analysis test in this study show a p-value of p=0.000 (<0.05). It means that there is a correlation between Body Mass Index and menstrual pain in female adolescents at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTSS) Miftahul Falah Diski. It is hoped that future research can examine deeper on other menstrual pain factors that are not examined by researchers.
