dc.description.abstractMedication non-adherence can increase the risk of treatment failure and the occurrence of relapse. It is considered as one of the major causes of drug-resistant TB that makes education becomes essential. TB is a global disease which is currently one of the focuses of pandemic elimination. The objective of this research is to identify medication adherence in pulmonary TB patients post Covid-19 pandemic. This research is conducted using a cross-sectional survey by filling in a pill count questionnaire. The results indicate that medication adherence of TB patients at Public Health Center of Pematang Bandar Sub-district, Simalungun Regency is namely 15 people (75%) are categorized as "non-adherent" and 5 people (25%) are categorized as "Adherent". The cause of treatment failure is that the patients do not want to take the medication that is recommended. They usually get bored of having to take medication every day for several months. Therefore, they are less likely to continue treatment.en_US
