Nutritional status is the body condition resulting from food consumption and use of nutrients. Nutritional status is divided into poor, good and excessive nutritional status. Health and nutrition problems are commonly found among school children. one of which is a non-optimal physical growth caused by insufficient intake of energy and nutrients. This occurs on children especially 6 grade children who are going to take various school exams. By fulfilling child's nutritional status properly and appropriately, the children can achieve good grade because to good child's nutritional status optimizes the performance of the brain. This research aims to describe the child's nutritional status by using descriptive analysis design. The research population is all students in grades V and VI with a total of 64 students collected using a total sampling technique. Based on the result, it concludes that the BMI of 55 (85.9%) children at SDN 105337 are normal. It indicates that 51 respondents (79.7%) have a good nutritional status (Normal) and 13 respondents (20.3%) are overweight. Good nutritional status occurs when the body obtains sufficient nutrients according to needs, so it can boost physical growth, brain development, and work ability. It is suggested that parents balance their children' nutrition according to their age. In addition, it is suggested to carry out further research on the nutritional description in elementary school children.en_US
