    Abstract
    Background: Pre-XDR-TB and XDR-TB are one of the health problems in Indonesia. The low treatment rates and treatment success rates, as well as high mortality rates need serious attention. Objective: This study aims to find the profile of pre-XDR-TB and XDR-TB patients at H Adam Malik Hospital Medan Methods: This study is a descriptive study using medical records of pre-XDR and XDR-TB outpatients at the MDR-TB clinic at H Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. Medical records used as samples were taken from patients aged over 18 years who received an individual treatment regimen without injection starting from October 2019 to June 2022. Results: From the total of 16 samples, 15 of them were pre-XDR-TB patients and 1 was XDR-TB patients. Most of the patients were male (62.5%), age group range 56-65 years (43.8%), high school graduate or equivalent (62.5%), unemployed (25%), and had no history of smoking (62.5%). The majority of patients had no comorbidities (62.5%), had a history of Anti Tuberculosis Treatment (ATT) once (62.5%), recovered previously (37.5%), relapsed cases (37.5%), secondary resistance (93.3%), and the end result of treatment was cured (37.5%) Conclusion: The majority of patients were pre-XDR-TB, male, high school graduate or equivalent, unemployed, non-smoker, no comorbidities, have previous ATT, recovered previously, relapse cases, secondary resistance, and the end result of treatment was cured.
