dc.description.abstractThe elderly is a highly vulnerable group to various health problems. A person is more likely to endure physical, psychological, and psychosocial changes after reaching the age of 60 years old or older. In Indonesia, the prevalence of hypertension has increased from 25,8% in 2013 to 34.1%. Due to their fear of death, job loss, financial problems in self-care, and social position, the elderly with hypertension frequently experience anxiety. This study employs a quantitative descriptive research design. This design is chosen by the researchers to describe the anxiety of the elderly with hypertension at the Pasbindu Community Health Center in Pematang Jering Village, Seisuka Sub-district, Batubara Regency. The results show that of the 31 elderly, 14 elderly (45.2%) which is the majority of the respondents, experience mild anxiety.en_US
