Hubungan Pola Makan dengan Kontrol Glukosa Darah pada Diabetes Melitus Tipe 2
Abstract
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a metabolic disorder that is generally caused
by a combination of two main factors, namely insulin that is defective in its
secretion by pancreatic beta cells and sensitive tissues unable to respond to
insulin. This problem can be prevented by maintaining a diet to keep blood sugar
under control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Objective to identify the
relationship between diet and blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Methods: the research design used is descriptive research using the literature
review study method. the data source obtained is in the form of national articles in
the form of published media google scholar (13,900). Then the article was
selected for eligibility through inclusion and exclusion criteria and using the
prism flow diagram and obtained 10 articles that were eligible for review. The
results of the analysis show that there is a relationship between diet and blood
glucose control in type 2 diabetes mellitus, by regulating and maintaining a diet
that is a balanced habit both from the amount, frequency, and content consumed
every day and checking blood sugar control regularly in everyday life, so that the
nutritional intake obtained does not accumulate in the body. Conclusion: There is
a significant relationship between diet and control of blood sugar levels in
patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus.Where the better the diet is applied, the
blood sugar control will be normal and if the diet is not applied, the blood sugar
control in type-2 DM patients will be high because diet affects 6x the increase in
blood sugar levels if not applied in daily life by type-2 DM patients.
