Pengaruh Pemberian Madu terhadap Luka Kaki Diabetik

Abstract

Honey is a natural sugar produced by various species of honey bees from the nectar of flowers or melons. It is currently one of the natural wound treatments. Diabetic foot ulcer is a chronic wound that are frequently experienced by people with diabetes mellitus. The research aims to find out the effect of honey dressing on diabetic foot ulcer based on empirical studies in the last five years. 10 articles are used as the source of data and the research method is literature review. The strategy of journal search is conducted through the databases of Garuda, Google Scholar, Elsevier, which is by reviewing 10 articles from the last 5 years (2018-2022). The results of review indicate that there is an effect of honey dressing on diabetic foot ulcer and honey is also proven to be effective to heal wounds more quickly and effectively. The research concludes that the treatment of diabetic foot ulcer carried out using honey causes the ulcer to dry, has no pus, and becomes odorless.
