dc.description.abstractMedan Johor Sub-district is the second place in the COVID-19 red zone and at the same time there is a decrease in visits to the Medan Johor Health Center by 62.6% in 2020. The visit of people with hypertension as the second highest disease at the Medan Johor Health Center also decreased by 25.6%. . The pandemic condition allows for a change in the search for treatment for people with hypertension. This study is to see a description of the behavior of seeking treatment for hypertension sufferers during the COVID-19 pandemic in the working area of the Medan Johor Health Center, Medan City through descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The population is people who are included in the working area of the Medan Johor Health Center as many as 96,483 residents. The sample of 100 people was calculated using the Slovin formula and using the statified proportional sampling method to determine the sample per kelurahan. Collecting data using questionnaires filled out during direct interviews with respondents. Univariate analysis to see the distribution and frequency in the study. The results showed that the majority of respondents had knowledge in the good category as many as 82 people (82%), the perception of vulnerability in the strong category as many as 53 people (53%), the perception of seriousness in the moderate category as many as 61 people (61%), the perception of benefits in the medium category as many as 46 people (46%), perception of barriers in the moderate category as many as 57 people (56%), the cue to act in the moderate category as many as 69 people (69%), the possibility of taking action in the strong category as many as 50 people (50%) and treatment seeking behavior during the pandemic COVID-19 is in the good category, as many as 48 people (48%). It is recommended to the public to always pay attention to the illness they suffer and their families as an effort to prevent complications.en_US
