Persepsi dan Harga Diri Remaja Putri Tentang Acne Vulgaris diMadrasah Miftahul Fallah Diski
Abstract
Acne vulgaris is the inflammation in the skin; commonly known as pimples or rash in girls. They typically appear on the face, upper chest, upper hands, and back. The severity of pimples can cause serious problems such as the loss of self- esteem in psychological aspect. The research aims to find out the correlation between female teenagers' perception and their self-esteem about acne vulgaris at the Madrasah Miftahul Falah, Diski. The research uses qualitative method. The population consisted of female teenagers experience acne vulgaris and 52 of them are selected as the samples using purposive sampling technique. The data are gathered through questionnaires, data reduction, data categorization, data display, and conclusion drawing. The result of the research show that all respondents had a positive and high perception and self-esteem related to acne vulgaris. It is recommended that the next researchers explore the effect of pimples on other aspects. It is expected that this research can be used as a guide and evaluation in teenagers' psychological management in acne vulgaris.
