Pengaruh Kadar Serum Feritin dengan Left Ventricular Function pada Pasien yang Menjalani Hemodialisis

Abstract

Background : Patients undergoing hemodialysis, inflammation or inflammation are possible causes of elevated serum ferritin levels. Left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is still common in patients undergoing regular hemodialysis and this is associated with a poor prognosis. Several studies have shown that elevated serum ferritin levels are independently associated with a higher risk of cardiovascular death in dialysis patients. Purpose: To determine the relationship between serum ferritin levels and left ventricular function in patients undergoing hemodialysis Methods: This research is an analytical research conducted at H. Adam Malik General Hospital Medan. The research subjects who underwent regular hemodialysis and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria obtained a sample of 17 people. Univariate analysis was carried out descriptively by displaying the frequency distribution, mean and standard deviation. Bivariate analysis was performed with Pearson or Spearman correlation with 95% confidence intervals, where p <0.05 was statistically significant. Results: From the results of the Spearman correlation analysis it was found that there was a significant relationship between hemoglobin and LVEF. Also found a positive correlation between the two variables Conclusion: There is a relationship between serum ferritin levels and left ventricular function in patients undergoing hemodialysis
