Tindak Tutur Ilokusi التاجر والجني /At-Tājiru Wa Al-Jinniyyu / dalam Hikayat ليلة و ليلة ألف /Alfu Lailah Wa Lailah/

Abstract

The research discusses the illocutionary speech act, التاجر والجني /At-Tājiru Wa Al-Jinniyyu / in the folktale ليلة و ليلة ألف /Alfu Lailah Wa Lailah/. The problem of this research is how to use illocutionary speect acts for the characters in the folktale ليلة و ليلة ألف /Alfu Lailah Wa Lailah/. The aim of this research is to identify the classification and types of illocutionary speech acts in the folktale ليلة و ليلة ألف /Alfu Lailah Wa Lailah/. The theory used in this research is speech act theory by Searle and types of speech acts by Wijana. This research use the listening method with note-taking techniques and data collection by listening to and recording the stories in the folktale. The research results showed that 5 classifications were found, there were: 17 assertive utterences, 20 directive utterences, 6 commisive utterences, 5 expressive utterences, and 3 declarative utterences. While there were 1 types of Mocutionary speech acts,direct speech acts 51 utterences. The conclusion of this research is that the most dominant speech act classification from the folktale التاجر والجني /At-Tājiru Wa Al-Jinniyyu / is the classification of directive speech acts, and the most dominant type of speech act is direct speech act
