Penggunaan Danseigo oleh Tokoh Wanita Yukiji dalam Manga “Kamisama Hajimemashita” Karya Julietta Suzuki (Julietta Suzuki no “Kamisama Hajimemashita” to iu Manga ni Okeru Yukiji no Jyousei Kyara no Danseigo no Shiyou)

Abstract

This research’s purpose is to describe the used of danseigo by the female character in a manga called Kamisama Hajimemashita. The object that is used in this research is a Japanese comic (manga) called Kamisama Hajimemashita written by Julietta Suzuki. This manga is used because there is a female character using male languages (danseigo) which is something uncommon. The purpose of doing this research is to analyze the forms of danseigo and the used of danseigo by Yukiji in Kamisama Hajimemashita manga. This research uses descriptive qualitative method by collecting data from texts and contextual data-analysis method. This research also examined the danseigo forms and the use of danseigo by the female character Yukiji in Kamisama Hajimemashita manga. The research results show that Yukiji used danseigo in ninshou daimeishi, kandoushi, and shuujoshi forms in Kamisama Hajimemashita manga. The factors that caused Yukiji using danseigo are caused by closeness factors, social status factors, and situation factors. The conclusion obtained from this research is that in terms of danseigo forms, Yukiji used ninshou daimeishi form the most with total of 76 uses. And the analysis results seeing from the use, the biggest factor in Yukiji’s use of danseigo is due to closeness factor.
