dc.description.abstract | The problems in the study include the personalities of the characters and the personal values contained in the short story "حزاء الط ثٌىسي " /Ḥiżā'u Aṭ-Ṭunbūrī/ by Kamil Kailani. The purpose of this study is to find out and describe the character's personality and personal values through a literary psychology approach. This research is a library research using qualitative descriptive methods, the approach used is Sigmund Freud's literary psychology approach and Nurgiyantoro's concept of personal values. Data was collected using the listening method and note-taking technique (Sudaryanto) and using the pragmatic matching analysis method. The results show that there are two main characters and twelve additional characters, seven antagonists and seven protagonists. The three elements of personality contained in the short story "حزاء الط ثٌىسي " /Hiżā'u Aṭ-Ṭunbūrī/, namely id there are five, ego there are thirteen and superego there are five. Personal values in the short story "حزاء الط ثٌىسي " /Hiżā'u Aṭ-Ṭunbūrī/, namely emotional development there are ten, intellectual development there are one, development of imagination there are two, growth of social sense there are nine, and growth of ethical and religious sense there are four. The conclusion obtained from this research is that the personality structure of the characters is largely controlled by ego and the dominant personal value found is emotional development. | en_US |
