Analisis Kepribadian Tokoh dalam Cerpen /Qasiru Az-Zaili/ Karya ‘Adil Ghadban (Pendekatan Psikologi Sastra)

Abstract

This research discusses the personality of the characters in the short story قصير الذيل by 'Adil Ghadban. The problem in this research is the role, function and personality of the characters in the short story قصير الذيل by 'Adil Ghadban. The aim of this research is to find out and describing a character's personality through a literary psychology approach. This research is a literature study research and the approach used is the literary psychology approach pioneered by Sigmund Freud. Data collected used the listening method and note-taking techniques. This research uses descriptive analysis methods. The results of this research were the discovery of 12 elements of id data, 18 data of ego, and 5 data of superego. The main character, namely As'ad (Short Tail) has the personality elements of id, ego and superego. Meanwhile, the additional character, namely the King, has the personality elements of id, ego and superego; Dad has an ego personality element; Arsyad has elements of id and ego; Amjad has elements of id and ego; Giants have elements of id and superego; The princess has elements of all the elements of personality, namely id, ego and superego. It can be concluded that most of the characters are controlled by elements of the id and ego, where the characters have personalities who tend to act according to their wishes and prioritize themselves even though they have good desires.
