| dc.description.abstract | This research discusses the influence of anime on the social behavior of the anime loving community (otaku), especially in DKI Jakarta before and after becoming otaku. Otaku are people who are fond of Japanese popular culture, such as anime and manga. Otaku are often viewed unfavorably in society because otaku communities tend to close themselves off and have difficulty interacting with non
otaku. They then join a community that matches their vision and mission. With the community, they can interact openly without fear of misunderstanding. This research aims to reveal the social behavior of Otaku in interacting in society, especially DKI Jakarta. The research methods used are descriptive method, literature method, and interview method. The data source of this research is the interview results of the JPN COMMUNITY FESTIVAL community by selecting several people with suitable qualifications, JPN COMMUNITY FESTIVAL is an otaku community established in DKI Jakarta. The technique used to collect samples in this study is Nonprobability sampling by means of Purposive Sampling. The results of this study are that anime has a big influence on the social behavior of the anime lover community (otaku) in DKI Jakarta. Many changes in each individual otaku are influenced by anime such as imitation behavior, consumptive behavior, behavior that likes to learn Japanese, and become a behavior that likes to develop hobbies. | en_US |
