This research is motivated by the lack of efficiency and effectiveness of the Calibration Laboratory officers at the Regional Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Center I in Medan in carrying out temperature calibration. The temperature calibration process takes a long time, where data is collected and recorded when the generated data has already stabilized. This research aims to create a system that can automatically monitor and be observed from anywhere by utilizing the Internet of Things. This allows employees to perform other tasks without having to wait for the calibration process. This research develops and combines several previous studies into a new system. The research utilizes an Arduino Mega design with a DHT22 temperature sensor as input, and the Arduino further transmits it to a buzzer as an alarm. The officers observe the data using a camera that can be accessed remotely through the Internet of Things. The research experiments were conducted at the Calibration Laboratory of the Regional Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Center I in Medan. The results of this research show that by using the designed system, the process of reaching data stability in the calibration process is achieved faster, within 50 minutes, and officers can observe it from anywhere using a smartphone. This system improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the officers' work.
