A Description of Feminism Through Main Characters in The Movie Enola Holmes

Abstract

This paper describes feminism in the movie Enola Holmes 2022. This book talk about feminism. The paper writing of this work aims to describe feminism and its purpose in the Enola Holmes 2022 film. The writer uses qualitative descriptive methods in working on this paper by collecting data by watching movies, listening to dialogue and doing searches on the internet and several journals. This paper uses the first and second wave theory of J.S. Mill in his book The Subjection of Women. The conclusion of this discussion is that every woman has the right to equal treatment without any distinction between women and men. Therefore, the result of this film’s research is that a woman must obtain equal rights and what she wants as her life goal without having to have any obstacles from the people around her, especially men who are always seen as more dominant. And women should also have the courage to speak out as a form of self-defense.
