dc.description.abstract | This paper discusses Verity’s personality and how Verity portrayed in the novel
Verity. This paper uses Erikson and Tomlinson’s theory. The writer used
qualitative research methods in terms of selecting and interpreting and finally
describing data that concerns with personality types selected through the texts of the
novel. Those data are in the form of words, sentence or even paragraph in the form of
quotations. Following the psychological theory, there are four personalities that
were found on Verity, possessive and jealousy. Besides, the depiction on how
Verity portrays is through physical appearance, the way the character talk,
character behavior, other character perspective, environment and abnormal
activity. The writer used main character theoretically to describe them. It can be
stated that a character can have such an abnormal behavior that may causes a lot
