Analisis Asam Lemak Bebas dan Bilangan Yodium dari CPKO (Crude Palm Kernel Oil), RBDPKO (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Kernel Oil), dan Lauric Acid. di Laboratorium Bea Cukai Kelas II Medan
Abstract
Research has been conducted on the analysis of Free Fatty Acids (FFA)
and iodine numbers from Palm Kernel and its derivatives, namely CPKO (Crude
Palm Kernel Oil), RBDPKO (Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Kernel Oil),
and Lauric Acid at the Medan Class II Customs Laboratory. Research on the
analysis of Free Fatty Acids (FFA) was carried out by alkalimetric titration
method and iodine value by iodometric titration method. From the results of the
research conducted, the value of Free Fatty Acids (FFA) in CPKO (Crude Palm
Kernel Oil) with an average value of = 1.8%, RBPDKO (Refined Bleached
Deodorized Palm Kernel Oil) with an average value of = 0.084%, and lauric acid
with an average value of = 125.40%. While the value of iodine in CPKO (Crude
Palm Kernel Oil), with an average value of = 17.46 g, RBPDKO (Refined
Bleached Deodorized Palm Kernel Oil) with an average value of = 16.10 g, and
lauric acid with an average value of = 0.47 g. The results of the analysis show
that the palm kernel and its derivatives have met the standards. In addition, the
high and low Free Fatty Acids (FFA) and iodine in Palm kernel products are
influenced by the processing process.
