| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of
this study was to analyze the bengkuang trading system that occurred in Pasar VI
Kwala Mencirim Village, Sei Bingai District, Langkat Regency. The location of the
research was determined purposively. The sampling method used is Simple Random
Sampling. The sample size of farmers was determined using the Slovin formula with
a total sample of 48 farmers. And the sample size of traders is determined by the
Snowball Sampling method where there are 2 collectors, 1 wholesaler and 3
retailers. The data analysis method used is descriptive analysis, trading system
margin analysis, and trading system efficiency analysis. The results of the study
concluded that there were two marketing channels of yam bean in the study area.
The share margin on the bengkuang II trading system in the study area has a larger
profit margin. The level of trading efficiency with the Acharya and Aggarwal
methods is more efficient in the bengkuang II trading system, in the Shepherd
method, the bengkuang II trading system is also more efficient, but in the
Soekartawi method the level of efficiency in the bengkuang I trading system is more
