In general slicing shallots is still done manually, so to overcome this, a shallot slicing machine was made. This research aims to test the rotation speed of the machine by using different rotation speeds in each onion slicing process. This research used a non-factorial completely randomized design (RAL). The rotation speeds used in this research are: 2700 rpm, 2800 rpm and 2900 rpm. The parameters used in this research are: effective capacity of the equipment, yield, percentage of leftover material and economic analysis. In this study, the best rotation speed to use was a rotation speed of 2700 rpm (R1). The research results show that the effective capacity of the tool is (4,796 kg/hour) with a rotation speed of 2700 rpm (R1). The yield on the tool was (0.93%) with a rotation speed of 2700 rpm (R1). And the percentage of material left on the tool is (0.050%) with a rotation speed of 2700 rpm (R1).en_US
