Commission. The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial access of
farmers in the village to financial institutions, to analyze the level of financial
literacy of farmers in Desa Perpanden and to analyze socio-economic factors and
financial literacy on the accessibility of financial institutions in Desa Perpanden,
Kecamatan Kutalimbaru, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. The selection of research sites
done purposively. The samples in this research are 43 respondents. The method
used is descriptive analysis to describe the access of respondents' farms to
financial institutions, index analysis method to determine the level of financial
literacy of respondents, and SEM-PLS analysis which was completed by using the
Smart-PLS 3 application to see the value of the influence of socio-economic
factors and finan cial literacy on accessibility financial institutions. The results of
the study concluded that out of 43 farmer respondents in Desa Perpanden, there
were 13 farmer respondents (30.24%) who did not access financial services.
Meanwhile, 30 other farmers (69.76%) are classified as able to access financial
services. The results of calculating the level of financial literacy show that the
majority of farmers have a literacy level of 60,01 – 80,00% (High), namely
(46.67%) of respondents who access financial services, and (69.23%) of
respondents who do not access financial services . Then the results of the study
using SmartPLS, the socio-economic factor variable (X1) does not have a
significant effect on the accessibility of financial institutions (Y), but it has a
positive value, means that socio-economic factors can influence but not too
significantly on the accessibility of financial institutions. Meanwhile, the financial
literacy variable (X2) is acceptable and has a significant effect on the accessibility
of financial institutions (Y).
