Peran Kelompok Tani dalam Meningkatkan Produksi Jagung (Studi Kasus : Desa Sei Mencirim, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang)

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how interested corn farmers in following the activities of farmer groups in the research area, know the role of farmer groups in the implementation of corn farming activities in the research area and analyze the relationship between the role of farmer groups in increasing corn production in the research area. Determination of the research area is done purposively (deliberately) and data collection is done by interview technique using questionnaires on samples belonging to farmer groups. The data analysis method used is the scoring method, descriptive analysis and Rank Spearman (RS) correlation. The results showed that the interest of corn farmers in following the activities of farmer groups in the research area is high. The role of farmer groups as learning class, cooperation vehicle and production unit are cumulatively classified as high. The role of farmer groups as learning class, cooperation vehicle and production unit had a positive and significant relationship with increased production of corn farming.
