Screening Profile Albumin dan Protein Ikan Air Tawar Konsumsi di Perairan Sungai Deli, Kota Medan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara
Abstract
The research was located in the Deli River which is located in Medan City,
North Sumatra Province regarding the Albumin and Protein Content Test of
Consumed Freshwater Fish. This research was conducted in June 2023- July
2023. The Deli River is an aquatic ecosystem that has an important role in
producing freshwater fish for consumption. Human activities around the Deli
River can affect the decline in water quality and quantification of freshwater fish
consumed in the river, so it is necessary to test the albumin and protein content in
freshwater fish consumed in the Deli River. The research used three stations,
namely Upstream, Central and Downstream. From the three stations, three types
of fish were found at each station, namely Tilapia (Oreochromis sp.), Snakehead
Fish (Channa sp.) and Catfish (Clarias sp.). The samples that were obtained were
tested for albumin and protein content using the Lowry method, namely by
measuring the wavelength using a spectrophotometer. The results of this research
show that the albumin and protein profiles have an accuracy value of % recovery,
namely 100%. The RSD values of albumin and protein profiles have accuracy,
precision and precision between >2%. With the % recovery and RSD values, the
results obtained have met the requirements, namely % recovery in the range of 98-
102% and RSD < 2%.
