    Abstract
Crude oil is a natural resource that is very abundant and very important for human life. Its utilization includes as a transportation fuel (gasoline), as Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) for daily fuel needs, as kerosene, fuel oil, and other refined content products and can be processed into plastic materials for daily needs. This study designed a machine to convert polypropylene plastic waste into crude oil with an (IoT) based monitoring system. Plastic waste, especially polypropylene, causes environmental problems because it is difficult to decompose and causes pollution. This study aims to convert plastic waste into valuable fuel through the pyrolysis method. The designed machine utilizes IoT to monitor temperature in the conversion process. The sensors connected to the IoT network collect data which is sent to the IoT platform for real-time monitoring. This monitoring can be accessed through devices such as smart phones or computers. The pyrolysis method is used to break polypropylene plastic molecules into simpler fractions, condensed into crude oil as fuel. Higher pyrolysis temperatures tend to produce more liquid and gaseous products, while lower temperatures produce more solids. The optimum temperature depends on the type of plastic being processed, but generally temperatures between 400 °C and 600 °C are used for pyrolysis of waste plastics. In conclusion, this study designed a machine to convert polypropylene plastic waste into crude oil using IoT.
